Welcome to Reiki
The word Reiki translates to “Universal Life Force Energy”. It is the energy that gives us life. It is what is flowing through all of us. Everyday influences outside of ourselves deplete us of this vital energy. My job as a Reiki practitioner is to return to you the energy you have lost. Through the palms of my hands flows this Universal Energy. I am like a transmitter that connects to it and directs it to the person receiving it. I start at the top of the head and work my way to the feet. Never do my hands touch the person receiving Reiki but remain inches or more above the body. Now with ample life force energy returning, the body can spend this energy repairing, restoring and healing itself. The receiver just relaxes and enjoys the session and need not do anything specific. Reiki will work on every aspect of a person’s: body, mind and the spiritual self. Reiki encourages physical and emotional healing, it relieves stress, brings clarity of thinking and promotes a restful sleep. Having practiced Reiki for many years I am never surprised by what it can do but still remain fascinated by it. It is wonderful for me to be an extension of this limitless Universe and share it through the palms of my hands.
